2. Additional Policies

These Terms incorporate by reference several additional policies that govern specific aspects of the Service. Those policies are considered part of this Agreement.

These include, but are not limited to:

• Privacy Policy
• Community Guidelines
• Virtual Currency & Lures Policy
• Copyright / DMCA Policy (if applicable)

In the event of any conflict between these Terms and a supplemental policy, these Terms shall control unless the supplemental policy expressly states otherwise.

3. Description of the Service

Look to Hook is an event-based social and dating platform designed to encourage adults to meet through shared activities and planned experiences rather than prolonged online messaging.

The Service allows eligible users to:

• Create a personal profile.
• Build a customizable Fish avatar.
• Browse or create activity-based events ("Hooks").
• Express interest in events ("Nibble").
• Select participants ("Hook").
• Communicate through Bubble Chat following a mutual Hook.
• Purchase or earn optional digital features, including Virtual Lures and avatar customization items.

The Service facilitates introductions between users but does not arrange, organize, supervise, or participate in any meeting, activity, relationship, or interaction between users.

Look to Hook is not a dating agency, matchmaking service, travel service, event organizer, employment agency, or background investigation company.

5. Identity and Age Verification

To help maintain a safe community, Look to Hook LLC reserves the right, at any time and for any reason, to request verification of your identity, age, or eligibility to use the Service.

Verification methods may include, without limitation:

• Government-issued identification
• Selfie or biometric comparison
• Third-party identity verification providers
• Mobile phone verification
• Email verification
• Other commercially reasonable verification methods

Failure or refusal to complete requested verification may result in:

• Restricted functionality,
• Temporary suspension,
• Permanent account termination,
• Removal of content, or
• Denial of future access to the Service.

Completion of any verification process does not guarantee the identity, honesty, character, intentions, or conduct of any user.

6. Account Registration

Certain features require the creation of an account.

You agree to:

• Provide truthful and accurate registration information.
• Maintain current account information.
• Keep your login credentials confidential.
• Notify Look to Hook immediately of any suspected unauthorized use.
• Accept responsibility for all activity occurring under your account until you notify us of unauthorized access.

You may not:

• Create accounts using false identities.
• Impersonate another individual or organization.
• Create accounts for anyone other than yourself.
• Create multiple deceptive accounts.
• Sell, transfer, lease, or assign your account.
• Use bots, scripts, automation, or unauthorized software.
• Attempt to circumvent suspensions or bans.

Look to Hook LLC reserves the right to refuse registration or terminate accounts at its sole discretion, subject to applicable law.

7. Beta Services

The Service may be offered as a beta, early access, preview, or pre-release product.

You acknowledge and agree that beta features:

• May contain bugs or errors.
• May change without notice.
• May be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
• May experience temporary outages or interruptions.
• May not operate as intended.
• May lose stored data during testing or system updates.

Because the Service is actively evolving, Look to Hook makes no guarantee that any current feature will remain available in future versions.

Your feedback, suggestions, bug reports, and feature requests are voluntary and may be used by Look to Hook LLC without obligation or compensation.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.

Our collection, use, storage, sharing, retention, and protection of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Electronic Communications

By creating an account or using the Service, you consent to receive electronic communications from Look to Hook LLC.

These communications may include:

• Account notifications
• Security alerts
• Verification requests
• Password resets
• Service announcements
• Product updates
• Legal notices
• Customer support responses
• Transaction receipts
• Marketing communications (where permitted by law)

You may opt out of promotional communications where applicable; however, you may not opt out of communications necessary to operate your account or comply with legal obligations.

Electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that communications be provided in writing.

Definitions

For purposes of these Terms:

Fish

a user who participates by browsing and responding to eligible Hooks.

Fisher

a user who creates a Hook inviting eligible Fish to participate in an activity.

Hook

an activity, outing, event, or invitation created through the Service.

Nibble

a user's expression of interest in participating in a Hook.

Bubble Chat

the communication feature made available following a mutual Hook.

Virtual Lures

optional digital features that enhance or customize certain aspects of the Service, as described in the Virtual Currency & Lures Policy.

Service

all websites, mobile applications, software, communications, content, and services provided by Look to Hook LLC.

11. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your conduct while using the Service and for any activity that occurs through your account.

You agree to use the Service lawfully, respectfully, and in a manner that does not interfere with the rights, safety, or enjoyment of other users.

You are solely responsible for:

• your Profile Information;
• your communications;
• your interactions with other users;
• your attendance at any Hook or activity;
• complying with all applicable laws;
• protecting the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Look to Hook LLC does not supervise user interactions and cannot guarantee the conduct, intentions, identity, or safety of any user.

12. Prohibited Conduct

You agree that you will not use the Service to engage in any unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, harmful, deceptive, or inappropriate conduct.

Without limitation, prohibited conduct includes:

You retain ownership of the photographs, profile information, avatar customizations, messages, comments, and other content you submit ("User Content").

However, by uploading or submitting User Content, you grant Look to Hook LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, copy, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, transmit, modify (solely for formatting, compatibility, security, moderation, accessibility, or technical operation), and operate the Service using such content.

This license continues only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service and satisfy legal obligations.

You represent and warrant that:

• you own or control all necessary rights to your User Content;
• your User Content does not violate any law;
• your User Content does not infringe intellectual property rights;
• your User Content does not violate another person's privacy or publicity rights.

14. Public Profiles

The purpose of Look to Hook is to facilitate introductions between users.

Accordingly, you understand that Profile Information may be visible to other registered users, including:

• profile photographs;
• Fish avatars;
• usernames;
• biographies;
• achievements;
• accessories;
• public statistics;
• Hooks;
• other profile elements intended for public viewing.

You should carefully consider what information you choose to publish.

Look to Hook LLC is not responsible for screenshots, recordings, copying of publicly visible information, or actions taken by other users regarding information you voluntarily publish.

15. Content Moderation

Look to Hook LLC reserves the right—but is not obligated—to monitor, review, investigate, remove, restrict, edit, or disable any User Content or account at any time.

Content moderation may be performed by automated systems, artificial intelligence tools, human reviewers, or trusted third-party moderation providers.

Moderation decisions are made in good faith to promote community safety. Look to Hook LLC is not obligated to explain individual moderation decisions.

16. Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, source code, user interface, design, graphics, artwork, logos, trademarks, service marks, fish avatars, accessories, animations, sounds, icons, text, documentation, and databases, are owned by or licensed to Look to Hook LLC and are protected by United States and international intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly authorized, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, publicly display, create derivative works, or exploit any portion of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.

17. Feedback

You may voluntarily provide suggestions, feature requests, ideas, bug reports, or other feedback.

You acknowledge that Look to Hook LLC may use such feedback without restriction or compensation. You waive any claim to royalties, ownership, or compensation relating to feedback you voluntarily submit.

18. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party providers including Apple App Store, Google Play, Firebase, Google Maps, Persona, Stripe, payment processors, analytics providers, cloud hosting providers, email delivery providers, and SMS providers.

Look to Hook LLC does not control these third-party services and is not responsible for their availability, content, privacy practices, or performance.

Your use of third-party services may also be governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

20. Virtual Goods

The Service may offer optional digital goods, including Virtual Lures and cosmetic items.

Your purchase and use of Virtual Goods is governed by the separate Virtual Currency & Lures Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Virtual Goods are licensed, not sold. They have no cash value, may not be transferred unless expressly authorized by Look to Hook LLC, and may be modified, revoked, discontinued, or replaced in accordance with the Virtual Currency & Lures Policy.

21. Fraudulent Payments & Chargebacks

If Look to Hook LLC reasonably believes that a payment was obtained through fraud, theft, unauthorized use, refund abuse, or an improper chargeback, we may, to the extent permitted by law:

• suspend or terminate the associated account;
• revoke Virtual Goods;
• cancel pending transactions;
• restrict future purchases;
• pursue collection of unpaid amounts;
• cooperate with payment processors and law enforcement.

Nothing in this section limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

22. Account Suspension & Termination

Look to Hook LLC reserves the right, in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law, to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any account for reasons including: violations of these Terms or Community Guidelines, fraud, impersonation, safety concerns, harassment, payment abuse, unlawful activity, repeated reports of misconduct, or actions that may expose Look to Hook LLC or its users to legal, financial, reputational, or security risks.

Termination may occur with or without prior notice where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, other users, or comply with legal obligations.

Termination of an account does not relieve you of obligations incurred prior to termination, including payment obligations or liability for violations of these Terms.

24. Safety Disclaimer

Your safety is extremely important to us. While Look to Hook LLC provides reporting tools, moderation systems, identity verification options, and other safety features, no online platform can eliminate every risk associated with meeting strangers.

Accordingly, Look to Hook LLC does not warrant or guarantee:

• the identity of any user;
• the truthfulness of any profile;
• the accuracy of photographs;
• the authenticity of profile information;
• the intentions of any user;
• compatibility between users;
• attendance at any Hook;
• successful matches or relationships;
• personal safety.

Users should always exercise good judgment.

We strongly encourage users to: meet in public places; inform a trusted friend or family member of meeting plans; arrange their own transportation; avoid sharing financial information; trust their instincts; discontinue any interaction that feels unsafe; and contact emergency services when appropriate.

25. Identity Verification Disclaimer

Look to Hook LLC may offer age verification, identity verification, profile verification, or similar safety measures.

Verification indicates only that a user completed a particular verification process at a specific point in time.

Verification does not guarantee good character, lawful conduct, future behavior, honesty, compatibility, or personal safety.

26. No Criminal Background Checks

Unless expressly stated otherwise within the Service, Look to Hook LLC does not conduct comprehensive criminal background checks on every user.

Even when background screening or verification services are used, such services may be incomplete, may contain errors, may not include all jurisdictions, or may not identify future criminal conduct.

27. Assumption of Risk

By using the Service, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with communicating with other users, attending Hooks, participating in activities, traveling to and from events, meeting individuals introduced through the Service, and sharing personal information.

Those risks include emotional distress, financial loss, theft, fraud, assault, illness, property damage, bodily injury, and death.

You voluntarily accept these risks to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

28. Disclaimers of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS," "AS AVAILABLE," AND "WITH ALL FAULTS." LOOK TO HOOK LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, SECURITY, AND CONTINUOUS AVAILABILITY.

29. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOOK TO HOOK LLC, ITS OWNERS, MEMBERS, MANAGERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR LOST PROFITS DAMAGES.

To the extent permitted by law, Look to Hook LLC's total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of One Hundred U.S. Dollars (US $100.00).

30. Release

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Look to Hook LLC from claims, demands, and damages arising from disputes or interactions between you and other users.

If you are a California resident, you acknowledge that you understand the provisions of California Civil Code Section 1542, which provides: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party." You expressly waive the protections of Section 1542.

31. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Look to Hook LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, service providers, and agents from and against any claims, demands, actions, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, your User Content, your interactions with other users, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

32. Force Majeure

Look to Hook LLC shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, earthquakes, fires, floods, pandemics, war, terrorism, labor disputes, internet outages, power failures, cyberattacks, governmental actions, or cloud infrastructure failures.

33. Third-Party Links & Content

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, products, services, advertisements, or resources. Look to Hook LLC does not endorse or assume responsibility for third-party practices or content.

34. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)

Look to Hook LLC respects intellectual property rights. Infringement notices under the DMCA may be submitted according to our Copyright Policy.

35. Export Compliance

You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to U.S. government embargoes or listed on prohibited party lists.

36. Survival

Provisions regarding Intellectual Property, Licenses, Payments, Virtual Goods, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Arbitration, and Governing Law survive termination.

38. Binding Arbitration

Except where prohibited, disputes arising out of these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules in Contra Costa County, California.

39. Class Action Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and Look to Hook LLC agree that any dispute shall be brought only on an individual basis and not as a class action or representative proceeding.

40. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Exclusive jurisdiction lies in state or federal courts located in Contra Costa County, California.

41. Changes to the Service

Look to Hook LLC may add, remove, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time without notice.

42. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance.

43. Electronic Agreement

Electronically accepting these Terms or using the Service constitutes your legal electronic signature.

44. Assignment

You may not assign your rights without consent. Look to Hook LLC may assign these Terms in connection with corporate transactions.

45. Severability

If any provision is found invalid, remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

46. No Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver.

47. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with incorporated policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Look to Hook LLC.

49. Acknowledgment

BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE, UNDERSTAND THEM, AND AGREE TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY THEM. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, YOU MUST NOT ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE.
