Welcome to Look to Hook.
We built Look to Hook because we believe meaningful relationships begin with real experiences, not endless swiping.
Whether you're grabbing coffee, hiking a trail, attending a concert, trying a new restaurant, or simply meeting someone for the first time, our goal is to help adults connect through shared activities in a fun, respectful, and safe environment.
Every member of our community deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and safe.
These Community Guidelines explain the standards we expect everyone to follow. By using Look to Hook, you agree to help us create the kind of community you would want your friends and family to join.
1. Be Respectful
Treat every member with kindness and respect.
Everyone using Look to Hook is a real person deserving of dignity.
We Encourage
- Friendly conversations
- Honest communication
- Patience
- Respect for different backgrounds
- Respect for different opinions
- Good sportsmanship if someone isn't interested
We Do Not Tolerate
- Harassment or bullying
- Threats or intimidation
- Hate speech or discrimination
- Personal attacks
- Revenge behavior
- Repeated unwanted contact
If someone says "No," respect their decision and move on.
2. Be Honest
Look to Hook is built on trust. Please represent yourself honestly.
This means:
- Use your own photographs.
- Use your real age.
- Create only one personal account.
- Accurately represent who you are.
- Don't pretend to be someone else.
Prohibited Deceptive Behaviors
Fake profiles, catfishing, impersonation, misleading profile information, stolen photographs, or misrepresenting your identity.
Authenticity creates a better experience for everyone.
3. Keep It Legal
Illegal activity has no place on Look to Hook.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Prostitution
- Escort services
- Human trafficking
- Sexual exploitation
- Child exploitation
- Drug trafficking
- Illegal drug sales
- Money laundering
- Fraud
- Extortion
- Blackmail
- Identity theft
- Illegal gambling
- Violent crime
Any activity involving minors or suspected criminal conduct may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
4. Keep It Appropriate
Look to Hook is intended for adults, but it is not an adult-content platform.
Please keep your profile and communications appropriate. Do not upload or share:
- Pornographic images or sexually explicit photographs
- Graphic violence or gore
- Hate symbols or illegal content
- Spam or promotional advertisements
- Misleading or manipulated content intended to deceive others
Swimsuit photos, outdoor adventures, hobbies, and everyday lifestyle photos are welcome, provided they comply with these Guidelines.
5. Respect Consent
Consent matters.
Whether online or in person:
- Respect personal boundaries.
- Don't pressure anyone into meeting.
- Don't pressure anyone into sharing personal information.
- Don't continue contacting someone who has made it clear they are not interested.
- Never attempt to intimidate or manipulate another member.
Everyone has the right to end a conversation or decline an invitation at any time.
6. Protect Privacy
Respect the privacy of others.
Do not:
- Share another person's personal information without permission.
- Publish private conversations.
- Reveal someone's address.
- Share phone numbers without consent.
- Doxx another member.
- Attempt to discover someone's identity outside the app without permission.
Protect your own privacy as well.
Avoid sharing sensitive information such as home address, financial details, government ID, Social Security numbers, banking info, or passwords.
7. Meet Safely
Meeting new people should be exciting—not risky.
We encourage every member to:
- Meet in public places.
- Tell a trusted friend or family member where you're going.
- Arrange your own transportation.
- Trust your instincts.
- Leave immediately if something feels wrong.
- Contact emergency services if you believe you're in danger.
Never send money to someone you've met through Look to Hook. Be extremely cautious of anyone requesting financial assistance, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or other payments.
8. Event Etiquette
- Honor your commitments whenever possible.
- If your plans change, cancel as early as you reasonably can.
- Arrive on time or communicate if you're running late.
- Treat event hosts, venues, and staff with respect.
- Don't create Hooks you never intend to attend.
Repeatedly failing to show up ("no-showing") may result in reduced visibility, account restrictions, or other enforcement actions.
9. AI Safety & Content Review
To help keep Look to Hook safe for everyone, we use a combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and human moderation.
Our safety systems may review:
- Profile photographs
- Uploaded images
- Profile biographies
- Messages reported by users
- Usernames
- Reports submitted through the app
- Other user-generated content
These systems help identify content that may violate our Community Guidelines, including harassment, hate speech, explicit content, graphic violence, fraud, spam, illegal activity, and fake accounts.
Content identified as potentially violating these Guidelines may be removed, rejected before publication, restricted, or reviewed by moderators. Using AI allows us to respond quickly to harmful content, while human review ensures fairness.
10. Reporting Problems
If you see something that doesn't belong on Look to Hook, please let us know.
You can report:
- Profiles
- Photos
- Messages
- Hooks
- Comments
- Harassment
- Fake accounts
- Fraud
- Safety concerns
Every report is reviewed according to our moderation procedures.
Please submit reports honestly. Knowingly submitting false or malicious reports may itself violate these Guidelines.
11. Enforcement
Violations of these Community Guidelines may result in one or more of the following actions:
- Educational warning
- Removal of content
- Temporary feature restrictions
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent account removal
- Revocation of verification status
- Revocation of Virtual Goods where appropriate
- Referral to law enforcement when required or appropriate
The action taken depends on the severity, frequency, and nature of the violation. Repeated misconduct generally results in progressively stronger enforcement, but severe violations may result in immediate account termination.
